Ertha’s bio part 1

Hi All

I pray this fines you well. My name is Ertha M Thompson. I want to share a little about myself with you. I was born and raised in a small town called Holly Hill in the beautiful state of South Carolina. We lived on a farm. We raised farm animals and planted crops year in and year out. I hated my humble beginnings as a child because all we did was work. Now looking back I thank God because it instilled in me a desire to work and be productive.

Over a process of time God blessed me with two children. He blessed me with a son and daughter. Aaron and Arcadia (we called her Kadie)  were the center of my universal. As a single parent I was very protective and hard on them. I tried as all parents do, to teach them and to prepair them for the cold hard world.

I had two failed marriages which I came away from heart broken and broken. Divorce is a kind death. Any one who have ever had one and worked diligently to keep it knows what I mean. We will discuss that more at a later date.

Back to my children. In April 2011 I took my daughter to the doctor for a simple ear infection. She was 16 years old at the time. She had no other complaints but when the doctor asked if she was concerned about anything else she stated” I’m sixteen years but I have not had my period yet Doc. What’s up with that?” We were not concern because my mom was 16 when she had her first one. They decided to draw blood see if anything was going on.

Serveral weeks later we return and the doctor stated all of Kadie’s test came back abnormal. We discussed if she had to referr us out where would be the best option for my daughter. She sent us to have more test done over a couple weeks period. Once test completed and results read she called me.

Before she called me, I was praying and fasting to God concerning my daughter. God spoke three things to me concerning my daughter. He said ” She is a walking miracle. She shall live and not die. She will have a awesome testimony.”

When the doctor called she said the test revealed the my daughter had cirrhosis of the liver. She also stated my daughter’s liver appeared to be in the condition of someone who have been drinking heavily for over twenty years. Of course I stated that’s not true. She said she knew that. I told here what God told me concerning my daughter. Doc stated “I can not attest to the other two but truly your daughter is a walking miracle. There is no way she should be able to do the things she can do.” My daughter was a junior in high school taking advance classes. Her third year in ROTC and was very active and proud of her accomplishments there and other club activities. She did not miss school.

For the next year we were in and out the hopital. They put her on the liver transplant list.

May 8 2012, she is now a senoir and just returned from her senior trip from Florida. She is very tired. That is her only complaint. I took her to the hospital that day and she never came home again.

Thank you for reading my testimony. I will complete this part of it the next time.

God bless

May God richly bless you in Jesus name!
